Kitchener Pick Up Zone
Bus Ride Requirements
- Harness: All dogs must wear a harness with a back attachment for safe buckling. (Please avoid ‘walking’ harnesses as they tend to slip). If you don’t have a harness, we offer new ones for $45. Leashes are not needed to avoid mix-ups.
- Off-Leash and Recall: Dogs must be comfortable off-leash, have reliable recall, and stay with the pack.
- Socialization: Your dog must be well-socialized and get along with other dogs.
- No Escape Artists: Absolutely no fence jumpers or escape artists. The lowest point of our fence is 4 feet.
- Vaccinations: All vaccinations must be up to date. We also strongly recommend a flea, tick, and lice treatment.
Weather Advisory (November–March): The shuttle service is weather-dependent during winter, and last-minute cancellations may occur due to conditions.
Will My Dog Get Dirty? Since we operate an outdoor, all-weather daycare, it’s very likely your dog will get dirty. Our outdoor facility is within mother natures boundaries so there is always a chance they get a little dirty While we try to minimize the mess, if you prefer your dog stays clean, PawTrips Bus may not be the best fit. If your dog gets extremely muddy, we’ll give them a quick hose-off and towel dry, but there’s no guarantee they’ll come home spotless.

Pickup and Drop-off Guidelines
To ensure a smooth and efficient pickup and drop-off experience, please note the following guidelines:
- Quick Access Required: We aim for quick in-and-out home access, so homes with ample parking or easy street access are ideal for us to safely and efficiently collect your pup.
- High-Rise Building Access: At this time, we’re unable to accommodate going into high-rise buildings for pickup or drop-off. If your dog lives in a high-rise, please plan to meet our driver in the lobby. Alternatively, if you’re home at the scheduled time, we’ll happily collect or return your pup directly from the building’s entrance.
Pick-Up & Drop-Off Timeframes
Our pick-up and drop-off windows are a little “ruff” around the edges! While you can request a specific time, it’s not “paws-itively” guaranteed, as road conditions and the number of pups scheduled may affect timing.
Home Sweet Home Access
If you’re not home when we arrive, no worries! We’ll need access to your home, garage, or backyard. You can “paw-vid” us with a pin code or key details on your account.
Pup-Date Alerts
We’ll send you a “pup-date” with a picture when your furry friend is picked up for their PawTrip or safely returned home, so you know they’re in good paws!
Minimum Paw-sengers Required
We need a minimum of 6 dogs to “bark the bus” for a PawTrip. If we don’t hit that number, we’ll let you know that the Pup Shuttle won’t be rolling that day.
Booking Notice
To ensure smooth “paw-scheduling,” please give us 24 hours’ notice to arrange your walk. While you can try to book same-day, there’s no “fur-tantee” we’ll have room for your pup’s adventure.
